Important Things Then and Now
 
Now-a-days we shop at places like Wal-Mart and Kmart. When my parents were little they shopped at places like Rammy's and Remes.
My favorite place to eat is a place called El Ro Deo. My parents' favorite places to eat were Taco Time for dad and Mexican Villa for mom.
The most important thing I have is my Michael Jackson CD. My mom's most important thing that she had was her radio, and my dad's most important thing that she had to have was his G I Joe.
My favorite chore is rearranging my room. My parent' favorite chores were plucking the chickens for dad and dusting for mom.
My favorite place to hang-out is the park. When my parents were my age their favorite hang-outs were Dairy whirl for mom and the vacat field behind his house for dad.
I have plain old twin sized bed and I have tons of different blankets all different sizes, shapes and, colors.
My mom had a twin sized bed with a pink flowery bed spread and my dad had a plain old twin sized bed
My nickname is Moonika my mom's nickname was Susie Q, but my dad didn't have a nickname until he was 12 years old.
I get to go to the zoo a lot. My parents got to go to the zoo alot. My dad lost a finger after a trip to the zoo.
I have a black Bravada and a tan Torise with pin striping. When my parents were little their cars were a red Renault for mom and a blue 1967 Bellaire station wagon and an orange truck for dad.
Now-a-days the most important rule in town is don't kill anyone. When my parents were little the most important rule in town was don't steal water for dad and don't kill anyone for mom.
We have to pay for gas and it is like $2.00 per gallon. But, when my parents were little it was like 25 cents or 26 cents per gallon. They had it cheap!
